Here are all of the recent videos we’ve shot and hadn’t gotten around to doing anything with.
We had to lower Keira’s crib because she’s pulling herself up in it (one leg kneeling the other tucked under kinda like a frog) and yelling over at us when she wants out from nap and such. She also can stand by herself for a bit if you put her in the position but she won’t get up from laying down to sitting up or crawl or walk by herself. (except for whatever she does in her crib)
Keira also got her two top teeth in. They broke through a day apart from each other and she was definitely unhappy about teething.
Here are some recent pictures we took of Keira. I’ll upload the videos later but their loading onto youtube right now. Yes, there are standing pictures in them. NO, she can’t stand up and walk around or crawl on her own. She can hold it though for a bit if you put her in it.
Car seat Thief
Her lowered crib. She got herself up to say “Let me out!” She even stands up in her crib to complain but she won’t do it anywhere else.
We went to Cali for Kym’s nursing graduation and saw everyone a bit ago. Mike just hasn’t gotten around to uploading the pictures to the server and neither have I. Kym and Vince also came out and saw us for a night while they were out here for vacation. Right now I’m kinda bummed because I learned a good friend of mine is losing her job in two months and she’s been though enough already but alas there’s nothing I can do about that. As for us if you stand her up and make sure she’s got a good position Keira will hold a standing position for a bit. We also have to lower her crib this weekend because when I went to take a shower this morning and put her in it to play I had to come back for a unhappy girl and discovered she had pulled herself up so that she was frog sitting on her legs with her arms wrapped around the top bar and her head glaring over. Needless to say harmless, as Mike pointed out, now but as I reminded him if she gets her feet under her she could fall out so this weekend we’ll have to lower her down a bit. As for me I’m still getting over the double pneumonia I got from my surgery and I can’t seem to get rid of its cough. To boot I have to have the damn thing again. Why? You ask. Not because the doctor did a bad job but because a rogue baby ran into my nose 4 days after surgery. Her daddy lifted her out of my lap vertically and not away from me like I would’ve thought he would. Needless to say I screamed and cried my ass off about it while Mike coolly declared he hadn’t hit me with her and that if she had randomly hit me it wasn’t that hard (so I shouldn’t be so dramatic about it) and I should’ve protected myself. Yeah…… Anyways the doctor said I was the first have that happen to for him and he was very irritated that it was actually worse off then before I had the surgery. It’s now severely deviated to the left where if you look really hard you can see it on the outside. It also affects my breathing from that side of my nose and before it had been from the right for deviation and I could breathe just fine thank you. Mike of course was surprised by this since he truthfully didn’t think she collided that hard, Keira didn’t even notice, but I reminded him that I had just had surgery and that the nose bone (cartilage I know) is very delicate and small. Also after seen the doctor remove it the splints holding my nose bone together were just magnated to each other so they would’ve moved together with the blow to which we both kinda frowned at. They were huge by the way. Well anyways if my cough is gone (It has to be) I’ll be having my surgery on June 12…again. And this time I better not be hospitalized again or get phlebitis in my other arm that’s all I have to say about it.
Yep in a bunch of these she’s saying dadada… not that anyone was coaxing her for weeks to say it. I even got a bunch of dadada for Mother’s day. All I got to say about that is there better be some mamama’s for Father’s day. Humpf
Some videos may not show up right away youtube is for some reason still processing them even after its been a day since they’ve been put up.
Here are the pretty flowers Keira and Mike brought me when I was in the hospital for Mother’s Day. Plus the card my parents sent me.
Well I went in for sinus surgery on Friday and ended up at the hospital until this afternoon. Why you ask, well I had had a slight cough that was dry and they didn’t care about before surgery. When I woke up after surgery I couldn’t breathe well and had diminished lung capacity because of it so I was transferred to Osborn Hospital. It ended up that I have double pneumonia. Yep, double pneumonia. The doctor said in all his twenty years he’s never seen someone who was healthy in their book wake up with it after surgery. Sucked ass in the hospital the first day by the way because of how nauseous everything made me. I ended up throwing up or at least trying to seven times. Well anyways I’m finally back home, well drugged and unable to lift ten pounds for two week.
My mom and dad bought Keira some toys while we were out there for Amber’s wedding. Here is her stash at Oma and Opa’s house. She has a booster seat too for eating.
Her giraffe is a little big still but soon who knows, she could be off and rolling.
We flew out to San Diego for my cousin Amber’s wedding this week. She got married on May first up in Temecula at a vineyard. It was very beautiful and Amber looked stunning. Apparently I created a commotion without even trying too. According to my dad at first sight of me the grooms mother thought I was Amber, not dressed correctly. Then after she realized I wasn’t her and learned from my dad who I was apparently there was a later mishap with his family thinking I was a sister. Which was confusing to his mother since she knows Amber has a brother (Stephen) and no sister. What can I say…Amber and I have always looked a lot a like. Anyways here’s some pictures of her wedding.
